چکیده

In the rapidly evolving world of the New Economy, there is an explosion of opportunities. New players are appearing on the scene and new forms of cooperation are continuously experimented. In this frame, one of the major problems is represented by the difficulty of establishing a partnership among different players (who may not know each other before), making them sharing a common understanding of a given application domain in a short time. The construction of a common Ontology is a promising solution to this problem. In this paper, we present the motivations and the main lines of SymOntos, an Ontology management system under development at LEKS (Laboratory for Enterprise Knowledge and Systems, IASI-CNR), and its use within of the tourism domain. Such a work has been developed within the FETISH European Project.
